# 96: Growing Cassava

Welcome to Farm Radio Resource Pack 96. This Pack focuses mainly on cassava, but includes a script on using agricultural equipment (a water pump), and a Broadcaster info doc on how to get farmers to speak about things that are important to them. In many parts of Africa, cassava.

“Cassava: The Root of Life” is a series of short radio dramas on cassava was originally produced for the Farmer Voice Radio initiative by Farm Radio International. It was developed in Tanzania, together with successful cassava farmers, cassava experts (researchers), and radio drama writers and specialists. As such, the storyline was created with a Tanzanian audience in mind. However, it should be suitable for other parts of East Africa, and, with some cultural adaptation, be relevant in other regions of Africa as well.
