Theme pack

Dear broadcasting partner,

This month’s theme pack shares radio resources on maternal and newborn health, in line with the theme of World Health Day, celebrated April 7. “Healthy beginnings, hopeful futures” is a  year-long campaign by the World Health Organization to urge governments and the health community to ramp up efforts to end preventable maternal and newborn deaths, and to prioritize women’s longer-term health and well-being. Learn more here: https://www.who.int/campaigns/world-health-day/2025

You can get involved by planning and broadcasting radio programs on maternal and newborn health, discussing how health systems, communities, and families can better support women and children. Find key messages from WHO here: https://www.who.int/campaigns/world-health-day/2025/key-messages
